hey. have you ever thought about how animals feel? i have been thinking... you humans always think you can do anything. a few people are not like that, but a lot are. i have been seeing from behind a dogs eyes and, thought of something critical. you know how whenever a dog in a pound is, "not child friendly" or, "too old" or, "it is food agressive", they always add, "it needs to be uthanized" after it.
imagine this. you are a dog. you were born and the house you lived in had a kid. the kid always beat you, bit you, pulled at your skin, and stole your food and water. how would you feel? you would be upset alot, am i right?
well, lets say that the same family moved away. leaving you behind in there yard and someone finds you, starving and calls the spca or someone. they take you in, and make you healthy again. but, after you are all healed and groomed, you get put into a "comfortable" cage and can't go outside alot. would you be happy?
that day also, you are to be tested for agression and such. you pass all the tests good, but you are very hungry and older then before. the person tries to take precious food away from you, and the memory of the kid theiving everything you had pops into your head and you defend it. the humans are all like, "ooh, thats not good. he might not be able to get adopted" and you just want to be in a warm house. so, now you get locked up again and the place can't handle having an "aggressive dog" in there clinic, taking up room. so, they put a leash on you, lay you on a bed, and kill you.
how would that feel? to have your very life ruined bye something that breaks you and then you get killed for something you didn't do? how is that? how is it? come on, tell me. not good, i say.
so, next time you see someone who abuses there dog, make sure to get them arrested, and please, do not let your kids pull or harm any animal. some play tugs to a tollerent dog is ok, but do not let it go to far. the example i used just now is now true. it has never happened. but it follows what the life of an abused dog has to go through SOMETIMES.
on the other hand, i really wish people would stop doing it. i mean, really. but the m,ain thing that pisses me off, is this.
a family goes and buys a new dog. it was an adoption, and it's friendliness around kids is iffy. he may get angry if a kid bothers him for too long. so, the family goes home. a young girl, about 7, knows this, and plays and snuggles, but keeps far away from the dogs agression limit. a young boy, about 6 let's say, is left UNATTENDED (this happens. i know how sick you people are.) in the same room as the dog after dinner. the boy goes over, and starts to roughhouse on the sleeping mutt. the dog is ok, but then starts to grol and raise his lips, as a warning. the kid thinks he is playing and continues. then, wham. the kid gets attacked and runs to his parents covered in blood, the dog terrified from the boy roughhousing and shivering ion the corner. the parents come in and slam the door, locking the dog in, then have the dog aptured until further notice and because of the boys stupidity, the dog gets put to sleep.
we do not need to put up with this crap! please do not let children be unattended by pets and, make sure to go to animal abuse awarness sights and learn more.
